The Harlem Renaissance was an artistic explosion in Harlem, New York throughout the 1920s and was widely considered the rebirth of African-American arts. The social and intellectual revival started in New York, but spanned throughout the midwest and even as far as Europe. The period, which started in 1918, is considered a golden age in African American culture, manifesting in literature, music, stage performance and art.

Join us as we celebrate the 100 year anniversary of this amazing period in the Short North this Saturday, August 4th from 4pm to 10pm. This gallery hop event is not your average gallery hop.
